Grade 11's - Understanding Copyright We will be watching RIP! A Remix Manifesto Reading through some materials and answering some questions. Section 1 : Understanding Copyright (read and answer the questions on your website) Section 2 : The Cost of Copyright Confusion Assignment: Students select two YouTube videos and compose a comparison-contrast paragraph. Each student selects one example of a video that is likely to be considered a transformative use of copyrighted materials and one that is not transformative. In the paragraph, students describe each video and justify their selections, applying what they have learned about copyright and fair use. Section 4 : Fair Use Policy Video Case Study: NYC Elementary School (answer these questions on your website) 1. Do you agree with the teacher that the use of music in these PSAs was a transformative use? Why or why not? 2. Why do you think these students chose to use copyrighted works in their videos? Why didn't they use royalty-free music? Why do you think they chose a picture of a Cadillac instead of a generic car image with no logo? 3. In this video, the copyrighted images were used for purposes of critique and analysis. Would it make a difference to you if the images were used for purposes of illustration? Why or why not? 4. Grade 12's - Cisco Chapter 16: Advanced Security This chapter reviews the types of attacks that threaten the security of computers and the data contained on them. A technician is responsible for the security of data and computer equipment in an organization. This chapter describes how you can work with customers to ensure that the best possible protection is in place. Risks to computers and network equipment come from both internal and external sources. Tablet computing certainly has picked up steam in recent years, especially since the release of the Ipad, and subsequent Ipad 2.
Other companies have attempted to compete with options including the Samsung Galaxy Tab, HP Slate, and Asus Eee Pad to name a few.
In this 2 day assignment I would like you to compare and contrast 10 pro's and con's to using a tablet compared to a traditional PC or Notebook.
I would like you to focus on what you feel are the top 2 tablets on the market. I would like you research an upcoming tablet that has not been released yet. Please provide information and photos on each tablet.
